To make your site rank high in search engines there are many useful wordpress plugins. You may have heard about some of them but there are some which maybe you have never used.

Google Sitemaps – This Generates a Google Sitemaps compliant sitemap of the WordPress blog. The Google sitemaps program is part of the “Google webmaster tools” owned by Google.
